About Us

Hi there. I’m James, and I am the brains behind Drum Alert! Drumming is my lifelong passion, which I have been interested in since I was very young. I have played in bands and performed solo for so many years that I can’t even count them! Because of all these years of experience, I consider myself to have a ton of knowledge to share when it comes to all things drum-related. 

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m no Dave Grohl, and I’m certainly not John Bonham, but I do happen to know my way around a drum kit. This has led me to become the go-to drum guy for all my family and friends (and consequently their family and friends). 

Of course, I don’t mind this at all, but over time I have found that more and more people have been asking me the most random drum-related questions, as well as advice and product recommendations….it got pretty stressful trying to answer everyone’s queries! I got to thinking that there must be a better way to tell everyone all that they need to know about drumming. That is where the idea of Drum Alert was born! 

My website, Drum Alert, is my online space where I can let family, friends, and other drum-loving folks know all about my drumming tips and tricks, as well as sharing my reviews for different drumming equipment and accessories. From telling you all about the best drum kits under $1000 to helping you increase your drumstick speed and even considering whether drumming can be considered an exercise, this website has it all.
